The purpose of UMW is to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mssion through participation in the global ministries of the church. Their Soup and Pie Supper, held every winter, helps to meet their pledge to missions and funds camperships for Hilltop children to attend Bible camp in the summer. Beginning in January each year the unit coordinates gathering supplies for health, school, layette and sewing kits to be made available to people in crisis situations or in developing countries. Local projects include providing funding for midmorning snacks for children at Cleveland Elementary School, sending a single mother and her children to camp, giving handmade blankets to babies of HUMC members and handmade caps and scarves to the Union Gospel Mission.
All women are welcome to become involved in Hilltop's United Methodist Women.
Two women's circles meet at different times each month for study and fellowship. Everyone can find a time that fits their schedule.
